This production of the Peking Opera "Farewell My Concubine" integrates Chinese and Korean culture, extracting sound elements from the Korean Pansori, and costume, set and movement elements from Chinese Opera. "Farewell My Concubine" is a story of love and betrayal set during the five-year Chu-Han war. This production was directed for the Koreanstage by Wu Hsing-kuo, and the lyric and music director was Korean vocal artist Ja-Ram Lee.
