An English-language chamber opera by Japanese composer Mayako Kubo, based on Akira Kurosawa's film of the same name, commissioned and premiered by the Styrian Autumn Festival in Graz. The name, characters and plot are taken from Ryūnosuke Akutagawa short stories In a Grove.
